Born at Fortitude Valley Qld, Methodist. Enlisted at Kalgoorlie on 22 July 1915 age 27, candle maker. Nok mother, Sarah Ann Daniels of Mary St, North Fremantle. Embarked at Fremantle 1 October 19125 per A20 Hororata. in January 1916 for Tel-el-kabir followed by Alexandria and landed at Marseilles in March 1916. Killed in France on 26 March 1917. Memorial at Queant Road Cemetery, Buissy, France. Service medals: 1914-15 Star, BWM and VM. His mother received a pension of 40 shillings per fortnight. His brother William was also killed
