Born at Brisbane and enlisted at Brisbane on 12 October 1915 age 35, draper. Nok mother, Ann Daniels of Mary St, North Fremantle. Embarked at Sydney 31 March 1916 per A16 Star of Victoria. Killed in action in France on 16 October 1916 and buried in Ridgwood Military Cemetery, Belgium, 2 kilometres SE of Dickesbusch (now Dikkebus) and 7 kilometres SW of Ypres. Service medals: 1914-15 Star, BWM and VM. He was the brother of Charles Daniels.
