Born at Larkshead Glasgow, Scotland Presbyterian. Enlisted 15 March 1915 age 30, painter. Nok wife Christine Deery Albert St, Cottesloe then Victoria St, Cottesloe. Embarked at Fremantle 29 June 1915 per A11 Ascanius. Wounded in action in France on 29 July 1916. Transferred to Anzac Corp School France. RTA per A68 Anchises, February 1919. Service medals:1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM.
