Born in 1876 at Yankalilla, Sth Aus. RC. Enlisted 25 September 1914 age 38, blacksmith. Nok wife, Catherine Therese Eatt, who lived opposite the Catholic Church in Stirling Hwy, Cottesloe. Embarked at Fremantle 14 December 1914 perA55 Kyarra. Served at Gallipoli 1915 and Egypt 1917. Mentioned in despatches in Egypt 1917. RTA from Suez 28 December 1917 and died of war related illness in 1918. Service medals: 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM.
