Born at Gympie Qld, CoE. Enlisted at Blackboy Hill on 15 November 1915 age 19, postal official. Nok mother, Ellen Eddy 15 Rupert St, Subiaco. Embarked on 9 June 1916 per A27 Southern. While in France on 9 June 1917 he was wounded in action to the knee. Promoted to Lieutenant 18 March 1919. RTA per Bremen June 1919. Service medals:1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM. In later years he resided at 16 Lillian St, Mosman Pk. Member of 1932-33 Cottesloe RSL Premiers Cricket team.
