Edmonds embarked at Fremantle 2 September 1915 per A 68 Anchises for the Middle East and is recorded being at Tel-el-Kabir and Alexandria. He died on 12 February 1919 of acute bronchitis and influenza at the 373 General Hospital France and was buried at Terlincthun British Cemetery, Boulogne, Wimille, France 1 mile north Boulogne, France. Service medals: 1914-15 Star, BWM and VM.
