Born at Ballarat Victoria, CoE. Enlisted 4 July 1916 age 44, miner. Nok wife, Isabelle Jane Edmonds, of Henry St, Cottesloe. Embarked at Fremantle on 9 November 1916 per A8 Argyllshire. Served in France and England. Invalided home 25 April 1918 with rheumatism. His son, John Edmonds, died in France after the armistice. Service medals: BWM and VM.
