Born on 19 December 1882 at Moonta, Sth Aust. CoE. Enlisted 13 April 1918 age 35, farmer. Nok wife, Jessie Sarah Godschall Elphick of GPO Perth, later at West Leederville. Embarked at Fremantle 29 October 1918 per A36 Boonah. The troopship was recalled when the war ended and he did not see active service. Due to influenza taken on board at Durban, the passengers were disembarked at Woodman Point quarantine station south of Fremantle.
