Born at Cootamundra NSW, CoE. Enlisted 17 August 1914 age 29, bank clerk. Nok father, E.A. Finch of NSW. Embarked at Fremantle per A11 Ascanius on 2 November 1914. Died of wounds at Gallipoli on 28 April 1915 and memorialised on the Lone Pine Memorial Panel 33. Service medals: 1914-15 Star, BWM and VM. The link with the district is a memorial plaque at Mosman Park Memorial Hill.
