Born at Fremantle WA, Presbyterian. Enlisted 26 October 1915 age 23 years, motor driver. Nok father, Walter Foord of Myrtle Grove Cottesloe. Departed Fremantle 29 January 1916 per A54 Runic. Served in France with the 1st Pioneers. On 2nd June 1916, while cleaning his rifle it discharged inflicting a shoulder wound. A Court Martial found it was not intentional. RTA May 1919. Service medals: BWM and VM.
