Born at Bendigo, Victoria, Methodist. Enlisted 6 August 1917 age 26, Postman. Nok wife, Cecilia Agnes Gard, Boulder, WA. Embarked Melbourne 30 October 1917 per A60 Aeneas. Wounded in action 11 September 1918 with gunshot wounds to his knee and thigh. RTA 2 January 1919 per Karmala and hospitalised at Fremantle 26 February 1919. Discharged 13 March 1919. Service medals: BMW and VM. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
