Born at Balmain NSW, Presbyterian. Enlisted 1 March 1916 age 18 clerk. Nok parents, James Gibson and Jane Gibson, Tower St, Leederville. Embarked at Fremantle 17 April 1916 per A60 Aeneas. In France June 1916 and on 24 April 1917 transferred from 28th Battalion to 70th Battalion. Killed in action in France 1 June 1918. Buried Franvillers Communal Cemetery Extension, 3.75 miles north of Corbie. Service medals: BWM and VM.
