Born at Hertford, England, CoE. Enlisted 10 February 1916 age 27, station hand. Nok mother, Mrs Marianne Greatorex, Devon, England. Embarked on 7 September 1916 from Melbourne per Port Sydney. Served in France where he was wounded in action on 2 August 1917 and on 19 April 1918. RTA 6 November 1918 to Albany per A74 Marathon. Service medals: BWM and VM. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
