Born at Ayr, Scotland. CoE. Enlisted 17 August 1914, age 32. Draughtsman. Nok brother, W. C. Gudgeon, Netherby, Ayr, Scotland. Embarked at Fremantle 2 November 1914 per A11 Ascanius . Served in Gallipoli and France. Thrice wounded in action: on 25 April 1915, 21 September 1915 and 18 July 1917. RTA 25 November 1918 per Port Sydney and discharged 23 January 1919. Service medals:1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
