Born at Fremantle WA, CoE. Enlisted 27 April 1917 age 21, cook. He gave his address as 409 Barker Rd, Subiaco and his Nok mother, Mrs Mary Ann Hammond of 111 Alexandra Rd, Fremantle. Embarked at Albany on 23 July 1917 per Port Melbourne. Served in England and RTA December 1917 per A34. Service medal: BWM. In later years he resided at 121 Hampton Road, Beaconsfield, Fremantle. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
