Born at Ballarat, Victoria, RC. Enlisted 16 October 1915 age 35, grocer’s assistant. Nok wife, Josephine Hearn of Keane St, Cottesloe Beach. Embarked at Fremantle 17 January 1916 per A30 Borda. Served in France 1916-1918. RTA May 1919 per ship China and discharged 24 July 1919. Service medals: BWM and VM.
