Born at Perth, WA, RC. Enlisted 12 October 1915 age 22, jockey. Nok sister-in-law, Mrs N. Heffernan of 328 Mandurah Road, South Fremantle. Embarked at Fremantle 17 January 1916 per A30 Borda. Served in Egypt/Sinai/Palestine 1916-1919 and about May 1917 he was wounded by a bomb blast in the Sinai Peninsula. RTA July 1919. Service medals: BWM and VM. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
