Born Clunes Victoria, RC. Enlisted 27 August 1915 age 27, labourer. Nok father, Thomas Hickey of Wellington St, Cottesloe Beach. Embarked at Fremantle 18 January 1916 per A7 Medic. Served at Mouquet Farm, France in 1916 and was wounded to the back and shoulders in France 3 September 1916. RTA May 1917. Service medals: BWM and VM.
