Born Huddersfield, England, CoE. Enlisted 17 October 1916 age 22, clerk. Gave his own address as Palmerston St, Cottesloe Beach and that of his father as William Strickland Hume of Cottesloe Beach. Embarked at Fremantle 29 January 1917 per A28 Miltiades. Served in France 1917-1919. RTA July 1919 and was discharged on 24 September 1919. Service medals: BWM and VM.
