Born 8 June 1890 Streatham, London England, Methodist. Enlisted 26 August 1915, age 25, farmer. Gave his address as Yating, Quairading WA and Nok father, James Hunt of Streatham, Battle St, Cottesloe Beach. Embarked at Fremantle 10 October 1916 per A23 Suffolk. Gunshot wound to neck, face and arm in France on 29 September 1918. RTA January 1919. His wife, Alice Hunt, lived at 61 Greyswood St, Streatham, London. RTA wounded. Service medals: 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM. Special mentions in General Sir Douglas Haig’s dispatch of 7 April 1918 for which he was awarded 2 Oak leaf badges.
