Born Perth, WA on 27 June 1900. Enlisted on 4 November 1918, seven days before the armistice to end the war. He was 18, a farmer and his parents were Charles Henry Iffla and Ann Elizabeth Iffla (nee Moir and married at Albany 12 February 1880). Charles was discharged on 24 December 1918 without leaving Australia.
