Born Birmingham England, Anglican. Enlisted 26 July 1915 age 18, clerk. Nok father, Thomas Inwood, of 33 Hubert St, South Fremantle and in 1917 York Tce Cottesloe Beach. Embarked at Fremantle per A20 Hororata 1 October 1915. Wounded in action, France 29 July 1916 and on the same day became a POW of the Germans. He was held at Kreigslazarett, Gottingen, Hanover Germany and his parents informed in a letter 5 May 1917. He was repatriated to England via Switzerland 3 January 1919 and hospitalised.
