Born Emu Creek, Rockhampton Qld, CoE. Enlisted 21 July 1916 age 44, labourer. Nok wife, Minnie Irvine of Broome St, Cottesloe. Embarked at Fremantle 9 November 1916 per A8 Argyllshire. Served in France 1917-18 as a stretcher bearer. RTA March 1918 for discharge medically unfit due to age and deformed feet and discharged 20 May 1918. Service medals: BWM and VM.
