Born at Ballarat, Victoria, CoE. Enlisted 21 August 1914 age 20. Nok Mrs A. McKay 103 Lyons St, Ballarat. Embarked at Melbourne 21 October 1914 per A3 Orvietto. Served at Gallipoli and then in France where, on 27 July 1916, he suffered a wound to his right leg. He was wounded again 17 April 1917 and wounded by gas 26 August 1918. RTA February 1919. Service medals:1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM. On 12 January 1956 his address was given as Perth. He later resided at 25 Albion St, Cottesloe.
