Born at Meckering, WA, RC. Enlisted 30 October 1915 age 20, carriage builder. Nok father, Louis Le Nay of Meckering. Embarked at Fremantle 1 April 1916 per A38 Ulysses. Served in France 1916-1918. RTA September 1919 per Plassy. Service medals: BWM and VM. Le Nay was of naturalised French parents. News article in the Daily News 27 April 1937 referring to a divorce of Raymond Arnaud Le Nay and his wife, mentions they were married in Kalgoorlie 1922 and when trouble in marriage began they were living at Palmerston St, Perth before shifting to Maylands. Raymond may be the brother of Louis Le Nay. Louis’s widow who later resided at The Grange Marmion St, Cottesloe.
