Born at Prahran, Victoria, Wesleyan. Enlisted 28 April 1915 age 21, carpenter. Nok father, Charles Alfred Long, Mason St, North Fremantle. Embarked at Fremantle 5 June 1915 per A2 Geelong. Wounded to the left knee in France 29th July 1916. RTA February 1917. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls. Service medals: 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM. Cottesloe Primary School Honour Roll.
