Born at Fremantle WA. RC. Enlisted 8 February 1916 age 23, grocer. Nok mother, Mary Sullivan, 37 Jenkins St, Fremantle and his address at the time as c/- Mr Warne Napier St, Cottesloe. Embarked at Melbourne per A67 Orsova on 1 August 1916. Served in France in 1917. RTA per Somali June 1919 and discharged 22 August 1919. Service medals: BWM and VM.
