Born at Perth, WA. CoE. Enlisted 3 April 1916 age 37, clerk. Nok wife, Eliza Annie McMullen of 8 Fremantle Rd, Cottesloe. Embarked at Fremantle 9 November 1916 per A8 Argyllshire. Served in France and Belgium 1917 and accidentally broke his leg and sprained an ankle on 5 November 1917 while serving in Belgium. The Daily News 12 January 1918 lists him as injured in action. RTA June 1918. Service medals: BWM and VM.
