Born at Rookwood, NSW Presbyterian. Enlisted 17 July 1915 age 21, shop assistant. Nok mother, Mrs Anne Anderson of Bouverie St, Leederville, later at Keane St, Cottesloe Beach and in July 1919 at Monument St, Mosman Park. Embarked at Fremantle 5 October 1915 per A20 Hororata. Served in France 1916-1918. RTA February 1919 per Anchises. Awarded Croix de Guerre avec de Bronze; Service medals: 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM. No information found regarding his French Honour.
