Wounded in the shoulder at Gallipoli, date not specified, and shellshock also at Gallipoli in June 1915. Service medals: 1914-1915 Star, and presumably the BWM and VM by England. He was discharged from AIF in England in 1916 and granted a commission in the British Army. Later resided in England. He does not appear to have returned to Australia.
