Born at Rockhampton, Qld, Church of Christ. Enlisted 10 August 1915 age 21, printer. Nok father, John Morris of Caxton Rd, Claremont. Embarked at Fremantle 1 November 1915 per A24 Benalla. Served in Egypt 1916 and France where on 23 October 1918 he was gas wounded. RTA 17 October 1919 per City of York. Service medals: 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM.
