Born at Perth WA, Presbyterian. Enlisted at Northam 3 October 1917 age 36, bank manager. Nok wife, Edith Elizabeth Moseley of Thorn Lea, Cottesloe Rd, Cottesloe Beach. His parents, Francis and Lucy Moseley lived at 7 Avonmore St, Cottesloe. Embarked at Fremantle 23 November 1917 per SS Canberra. On 8 August 1918, he was killed near Cerisy in France. Buried at Heath Cemetery, Harbonnieres, France, 3.5 kilometres north of Harbonnieres 12 kilometres east south east of Corbie. Service medals: BWM and VM. On 20 June 1921 Edith received a letter of condolence from King George V and a Memorial Scroll and when both were accidently destroyed in 1921 duplicates were issued.
