Born at Armadale, Victoria, CoE. Enlisted 15 May 1915 age 18, clerk. Nok parents John James Munro and Annie C. Munro residing at Novar, Grange St, Osborne (Claremont). Embarked at Fremantle 29 June 1915 per A11 Ascanius. Norman was killed in action 16 December 1915 only four days before the last Anzac left Gallipoli. Lone Pine Memorial, Panel 68. 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM. Two of Norman’s brothers died; Roy in France in 1917 and Eric in England 1918.
