Born Canterbury Victoria, Presbyterian. Enlisted 18 July 1915, civil engineer. Nok mother, Annie Caskie Munro, Grange St, Claremont. Embarked at Fremantle 2 September 1915 per A65 Anchises. Wounded in action in France 29 July 1916 and hospitalised in England. Returned to unit 5 February and killed in action on 26 February 1917. Buried in an isolated grave near Warlencourt Eaucourt April 1919. Service medals: 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM.
