Born at North Fremantle, Wesleyan. Enlisted 3 February 1916 age 18, assistant assembler. Nok his parents, William John Mutton and Mary Blane Mutton of Napier St, Cottesloe. Embarked at Fremantle 6 June 1916 per A29 Suevic. Served in England and France. RTA per Somali in June 1919. Service medals: BWM and VM.
