Born in Adelaide Sth Aust. CoE. Enlisted 1 December 1915 age 28, carpenter. Nok father, Thomas William Needle of Palmerston St, Cottesloe Beach and later Nok his wife, Althea Needle of Newport Monmouthshire, England. Embarked at Fremantle 31 March 1916 per A9 Shropshire. He was wounded in the mouth while serving in France. RTA July 1919. Service medals: BMW and VM.
