Born at Perth on 14 September 1887. Nok parents, Frederick Dudley North and Flora (nee Hamersley) North. He was a former a pupil of Perth Hale School and then at Rugby School, England and in 1909 he graduated from Oxford University with a BA Laws. He was Mayor of Cottesloe in 1923, MLC for Claremont 1924-1953, a President of the Cottesloe RSL and President of the North Cottesloe Life Saving Club. His daughter Rachel Mary June Cassidy resided at 4 Forrest St, Cottesloe. Charles North died September 1979. His service with the Royal Air Force excludes his war service file being in the Australian National Archives and UK rules of access in this instance limit easy access and authorisation to immediate family.
