Born at Waverley Sydney, CoE. May have attended Cottesloe School. Enlisted 11 February 1916 age 24, salesman. Nok father, Thomas Ockerby, Forrest St, Cottesloe. Embarked at Fremantle 10 October 1916 per A23 Suffolk. Was wounded in action in France on 6 May 1917. RTA 18 October 1918. Pension 30 shillings per fortnight. Service medals: BWM and VM.
