Born at Clunes, Victoria, Methodist. Enlisted 28th August 1916 age 36, turner and fitter. Nok wife, Agnes Oliver, Glyde St, Cottesloe Beach. Embarked at Melbourne on 11 May 1917 per Shropshire, disembarked at Fremantle. Re-embarked Fremantle 29 June 1917. Served in England. RTA 6 May 1919 per P&O Liner Kaiser-i-Hind. Service medals: BWM and VM.
