Born at Carlton Victoria, CoE. Enlisted 22 March 1916 age 26, tug-master. Nok sister, Mrs Bessie Russell first at Railway Crescent Bayswater and then Keane St, Cottesloe Beach. Embarked at Fremantle 7 August 1916 per A28 Miltiades. Served in England and France. RTA 1919. Service medals: BWM and VM.
