Served at Gallipoli, Egypt, England and France. Bayonet wounded at Anzac Cove Gallipoli, 6 November 1915. Gas wounded in France 7 June 1917. RTA January 1918. Medical discharge on 12 May 1918. In 1919 and 1930 Harry Payne was residing at Bunbury. Service medals: 1914-1915 Star, BWM and VM. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
