Prince, Charles William

Born at Chelsea England on 21 March 1884. Applied to enlist in February 1918 but was rejected for service. His address at the time was No 8 Army General Hospital, Fremantle and he gave his occupation as soldier and the person to notify in event of wounding or death, Elsie May Madden (no further information) in 1961 he claimed he had served as a corporal in the Home Service and was discharged on 4 March 1919. No records survive to support this claim. He is the only WW1 soldier of this name and initials found in the Australian National Archives and his name could not be found on the WW1 embarkation list.  Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
