Born at Fremantle, CoE. Enlisted 1 October 1916 age 24, fireman. Nok father, John Prince of Lillian St, Cottesloe. Embarked at Fremantle 29 December 1916 per A34 Persic. Served in England and France. On 30 November 1917 he was commended for his bravery. Wounded in action in France on 31 August 1918, gunshot wound to thighs and his left leg amputated above the knee. RTA May 1919.
