Born in London Baptist. Arrived from UK in 1913 and enlisted 30 August 1915 age 21, salesman. Nok parents, William Henry Revell (deceased) and Mary Anne Revell who at the time of William’s enlistment lived at 30 Chatsworth Rd, Highgate Hill and later at John St, Cottesloe and Loma St, Cottesloe. Embarked at Fremantle 1 November 1915 A24 Benalla. On the 8 August 1916 William was reported as missing in France and later confirmed as dead. His body was exhumed from a trench about 150 yards left of a windmill on Poziers Ridge and reburied at Serre Road Cemetery No. 2 Plot 13, Row M Grave 8; near to Beaumont Hamel France with permanent headstone.
