Born at Junee Junction, NSW, CoE. Enlisted 18 January 1915 age 26, compositor. Nok mother, Eliza Mary Tulloch, of various addresses including Peterson Flats, Johnson Parade, Mosman Bay, WA. Also listed as Robert’s Nok was his brother, Lieut Colonel William Rockliff of Victoria St, Cottesloe Beach. Embarked at Fremantle 26 April 1915 per A20 Hororata. At Gallipoli on 20 July 1915, he was seriously wounded by shrapnel and died 4 August 1915. Buried at Pieta Military Cemetery Malta, Grave 6, Row 4B. Service medals: 1914-15 Star, BMW and VM.
