Born at Brisbane, Qld. Methodist. Enlisted 9 January 1917 age 36, rabbit inspector. Nok wife, Ruth Rooke of Margaret St, Cottesloe. Embarked at Fremantle 29 January 1917 per A28 Miltiades. Wounded to his face and eye in France 12 October 1917 and wounded again 24 April 1918 to the right thigh. RTA on 6 November 1918 per A74 Marathon and discharged 5 February 1919. Service medals: BWM and VM.
