Born at Beachport Sth Aust. Congregational. Enlisted 9 August 1915 age 22, farmer. Nok mother, Florence Rossell, 9 Jenkin St, South Fremantle. Embarked 22 December 1915. Served in England and France. Suffered severe gas wounding 17 April 1918. RTA per Somali June 1919. Service medals: BMW and VM. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls. Arthur Rossell died at Hollywood Repatriation Hospital 3 June 1953. In 1959, in an application for a War Service Housing loan his widow, Martha Rossell of Adrian St. Palmyra, thought she resided in Mosman Park when Arthur enlisted.
