Born at Bendigo, Victoria, Methodist. Enlisted 19 April 1916 age 21, storeman. Nok father, Harvey Ruck Cnr Salvado and George Sts, Cottesloe Beach, also Broome House Broome St, Cottesloe. Embarked at Sydney on 29 July 1916 per A67 Orsova. Wounded in action in France shell shock on 16 May 1917. RTA May 1919. Service medals, BWM and VM. Frederick married Lydia Stanbury and they had two sons Elvin and Graham. Service medals: BWM and VM.
