Born at Launceston, Tasmania, CoE. Enlisted at Fremantle 6 July 1916 age 32, Purser Nok mother, Mrs Clara Salmon, View St, Cottesloe Beach. Embarked at Sydney 1 August 1917 per A7 Medic. Served in England and France. RTA per the SS Minderoo via Singapore and disembarked 5 September 1919. Service medals: BWM and VM.
