Born at Walthamstowe, England, Presbyterian. Enlisted 22 September 1915 age 41, clerk. Nok his wife, Margaret Evelyn Scott of Hope St, Bicton. Embarked at Fremantle 12 February 1916 per A28 Miltiades. Served in France 1916, 1918, England 1916-1918 and was wounded to the neck in France on 14-16 August 1916. RTA April 1919 per Tras os Montes Service medals: BWM and VM. Cottesloe and district Honour Rolls.
